YOU MAY FILE ASIE 2015 NOW TO AVOID PENALTY.
The Department of Assessment has opened a grace period for non-filers of ASIE 2015 to avoid penalty. This applies to ASIE non-filers only! You may avoid penalties by submitting and filing a properly-completed electronic form. Click the ASIE 2015 link to file. This grace period ends on January 28, 2017.
OPPORTUNITY FOR A HEARING
In the event you do not cure by filing your ASIE 2015 during this grace period, and you believe that you have met the filing requirement, or are exempt from the filing requirement, you are entitled to request a hearing prior to the determination of penalties. If you are requesting a hearing, please complete the electronic ASIE Petition for Hearing. You must provide any and all supporting documentation. Supporting documents must be scanned and uploaded using the electronic form. See the form for details. The deadline to request a hearing is January 28, 2017.

The filing of the Annual Survey of Income and Expense (ASIE) with the Department of Assessment is mandatory as required under Section 6-30 of the Nassau County Administrative Code.
The purpose of the survey is to gather data for statistical analysis that will help establish the full market value of all class 4 properties. The data collected will be used to analyze changes and trends in the levels of income and expense of class 4 commercial properties, countywide. The information provided will aid in the development of departmental schedules and guidelines that will result in fairer and more equitable assessed values for all Class 4 properties.
