Nassau County Legislator Bill Gaylor joined with Valley Stream Mayor Edwin Fare and Trustee John Tufarelli at the Corona Avenue firehouse in Valley Stream, to deliver boxes of at-home COVID tests to the firefighters in the village. The individual boxes contain two tests per box.
“Our first responders put their health and their lives on the line every day to help people,” Legislator Gaylor said. “During the pandemic, the Valley Stream Fire Department lost one of their own in Mike Field to this virus. Everyone needs to stay home when they feel sick and get tested if they have symptoms. These tests will help our first responders stay healthy and maintain their level of service to the community.”
