Jack Paganucci, John Andrew Saville, and Andrew Comerford of Boy Scout Troop 71 were recently recognized at an Eagle Court of Honor ceremony in honor of achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. Jack, John, and Andrew’s achievements are the culmination of years of commitment, effort and preparation.

Jack’s Eagle Scout project involved designing, planning, and building a thirty-two foot long weatherproof wooden walkway over a trail in the North Ravine of Udall’s Cove Park and Preserve in Douglaston.

John’s Eagle Scout project focused on teaching children important information on fire safety awareness in their home and other surroundings. After instructing the children, Jack and his fellow Troop 71 Scouts built an obstacle course for the children which summarized the taught fire safety lessons.

Andrew’s Eagle Scout project raised awareness of animal care and pet adoption services at the North Shore Animal League. Using donated materials from neighboring residents, the Troop 71 Scouts assembled cat toys and donated them to the North Shore Animal League.
