Nassau County Legislator Laura M. Schaefer would like to share the most recently updated Long Island Rail Road Summer Repair Schedule with residents from the 14th Legislative District that use the LIRR branches listed below to go to and from work to help ease their daily commute as track work continues at Penn Station throughout the summer months.
RONKONKOMA BRANCH - MORNING RUSH CHANGES
· An extra early-morning train will be provided, departing Farmingdale at 4:53 AM and arriving at Penn Station at 6:00 AM.
· The 6:54 AM express from Central Islip, normally due into Penn Station at 8:06 AM, will end its run at Jamaica at 7:44 AM, where customers can catch Penn-bound trains departing at 7:53 AM and 8:01 AM.

· Train #2301: The 6:00AM train from Farmingdale due Penn at 6:50AM will have 2 extra cars
RONKONKOMA BRANCH - EVENING RUSH CHANGES

· Train #2354: The 4:54PM train from Penn due Farmingdale at 5:56PM will have 2 extra cars
HEMPSTEAD BRANCH - MORNING RUSH CHANGES
· The westbound 3:59 AM train from Hempstead, due Jamaica at 4:28 AM, will not operate. Customers will be accommodated by bus.
· An extra early-morning train will be provided, departing Hempstead at 5:33 AM and arriving at Atlantic Terminal at 6:23 AM.
· 6:38 AM train from Hempstead, due at Penn at 7:34 AM, will make its last stop at Jamaica at 7:08 AM, where customers can catch Penn-bound trains at 7:18 AM and 7:23 AM.
· 7:12 AM express from Hempstead, due at Penn at 8:03 AM, will end its run at Jamaica at 7:39 AM, where customers can catch Penn-bound trains at 7:45 AM and 7:53 AM.
HEMPSTEAD BRANCH - EVENING RUSH CHANGES
· 5:04 PM train from Penn, due at Hempstead at 5:57 PM, will instead originate at Jamaica at its usual time of 5:28 PM.
· 5:38 PM train from Penn, due at Hempstead at 6:36 PM, will instead originate at Atlantic Terminal at 5:47 PM.
· 6:39 PM train from Penn, due at Hempstead at 7:33 PM, will instead originate at Jamaica at its usual time of 7:03 PM.
· 7:05 PM train from Penn, due at Hempstead at 7:56 PM, will instead originate at Atlantic Terminal at 7:10 PM.
· Extra Peak train departing Penn Station at 7:18 PM and arriving Hempstead at 8:14 PM.
