Mulé Honors Roosevelt Superintendent, School Board President During Black History Month

(ROOSEVELT, N.Y.) – In observance of February as Black History Month, Nassau County Legislator Debra Mulé (D – Freeport) recently honored Roosevelt Union Free School District Superintendent Dr. Deborah Wortham and Roosevelt School Board President Rose Gietschier for their leadership and their unwavering dedication to public education.

“As a former school board member, I am in awe of the transformative power of public education in our society. Dr. Wortham and President Gietschier are prime examples of leaders who are committed to fostering an atmosphere in which young scholars can thrive,” Legislator Mulé said. “We proudly uplift and celebrate the profound impact they are having and thank them for their commitment to the success of the next generation.”
