(ELMONT, N.Y.) - Nassau County Legislator Carrié Solages (D - Lawrence) proudly joined with American Legion Post 1033 for Elmont’s Veterans Day Parade on Friday, Nov. 11. Legislator Solages donated refreshments that were served at a post-parade gathering for parade participants.
“On Veterans Day, the American people say thank you to all those who served and are currently serving in our armed forces,” Legislator Solages said. “It is always an honor to work in partnership with American Legion Post 1033 to commemorate this important day and amplify the gratitude that the people of Elmont hold in their hearts for our veterans and active service members. May God bless America and protect all who have stepped up to protect our nation.”
