Reach for the Stars Teen Talent Search at Eisenhower Park Invites Applications

Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi has announced the return of the very popular Reach for the Stars Teen Talent Search. Auditions and finals (August 8) will be held at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre in Eisenhower Park in East Meadow.

The competition will be for solo and group vocal talent only. One hundred and twenty contestants will be chosen on a first-come, first-serve basis from applications received. Applications must be postmarked by July 1, 2008, with contestants notified by phone of audition date. Auditions will be by appointment only (there will be no open call).

All contestants must be at least 13 but no older than 19 years of age on the day of the finals, August 8, 2008, and all applications must be accompanied by copies of proofs of age and Nassau County residency, as well as photo ID. Originals of all proofs must be presented at audition.

Applications may be obtained at any Nassau County Park or Museum, and all Nassau County libraries. Applications were also distributed to all Nassau County high schools and school districts. Further information and applications may be obtained by calling the Parks Events Office at 516-572-0396.
