NASSAU COUNTY TAXI & LIMOUSINE COMMISSION BOARD
CODE OF CONDUCT

I. THE NASSAU COUNTY TAXI & LIMOUSINE COMMISSION BOARD (HEREINAFTER “THE BOARD”) SHALL BE GOVERNED BY ARTICLE XXI-B OF THE COUNTY GOVERNMENT LAW OF NASSAU COUNTY, NASSAU COUNTY ORDINANCE 155 OF 2014, THE NASSAU COUNTY TAXI & LIMOUSINE COMMISSION (HEREINAFTER NCTLC) RULES AND REGULATIONS, THE BOARD CODE OF CONDUCT AND ROBERT’S RULES OF ORDER. 
 
II. THE BOARD SHALL ACT IN AN ADVISORY CAPACITY TO THE NCTLC COMMISSIONER AND THE NCTLC ONLY.

III. VOTING BOARD MEMBERS SHALL NOT:
a. ADVISE OR COUNSEL ANY INDIVIDUAL OR PARTY SEEKING LICENSURE OR REGISTRATION OF ANY KIND WITH THE NCTLC;

b. ADVISE OR COUNSEL ANY INDIVIDUAL OR PARTY SEEKING INTERPRETATION OR CLARIFICATION OF THE NCTLC RULES & REGULATIONS OR ANY OTHER RELEVANT LAW;

c. MAKE ANY REPRESENTATION OF ANY KIND ON BEHALF OF THE NCTLC OR THE BOARD TO ANY INDIVIDUAL, CORPORATION OR OTHER PARTY OF ANY KIND WHO ARE ENGAGED OR INVOLVED IN, OR CONDUCTS BUSINESS WITH THE FOR-HIRE VEHICLE INDUSTRY; 

d. HOLD THEMSELVES OUT AS AGENTS OF THE NCTLC OUTSIDE OF OFFICIALLY SCHEDULED AND CONDUCTED MEETINGS OF THE BOARD;

e. CONDUCT OR PARTICIPATE IN ANY ENFORCEMENT OF THE NCTLC RULES & REGULATIONS OR OTHER RELEVANT LAW ON BEHALF OF THE NCTLC OR THE BOARD.
  
IV. VIOLATION OF THE THE BOARD CODE OF CONDUCT MAY CONSTITUTE CAUSE FOR IMMEDIATE REMOVAL FROM THE BOARD.
