Reschedule Conference or Trial Date

If you Plead Not-Guilty, and received a conference notice and wish to reschedule the date you may call (516-572-2700) or write to the agency requesting a new date. To change the date for a trial, you, or an authorized representative, must appear AT LEAST SEVEN (7) DAYS BEFORE the trial date. Your representative will need a notarized statement addressed to the Clerk of the Court explaining why you cannot appear on that date. This statement will be presented to the Judicial Hearing Officer for review and, if accepted, the case will be adjourned. Your failure to appear for a scheduled trial may result in a default conviction.

Missed Date
If you are pleading not guilty and you have missed your appearance date, late fees will continue to accrue until your plea is entered. You may enter your plea of not guilty by appearing in person Monday - Friday at 9 a.m. or by writing to the agency at:
Nassau County Traffic and Parking Violations:

16 Cooper St.
Hempstead, NY 11550-4063

If you plead guilty, you will receive a billing notice. If you plead not guilty, you will receive a conference notice in the mail.
